Turning Expenses to Savings or Profits

Who wouldn't want a discount right? Almost all people have their cellphones or mobile phones. Although some can afford to have postpaid lines, many are still using prepaid SIM cards. And when you think of prepaid SIM cards, obviously you'll be needing a cellphone load.

Whenever I ran out of load, I just need to go outside and go to one of the sari sari stores near our home and voila, I'll get my e-load. But since we moved in our current residence, it became difficult to do the same. E-loading station is far and sometimes you need to come back to the store just to remind the "tindera" that you haven't received your load yet. Time-consuming and tiring as well especially if it's rainy or super sunny outside.

And then one day, I saw coins.ph on Facebook. I got interested mainly because I can do e-loading with it. That means, I don't have to go to the sari-sari store again and again just to reload my phone. I can also get a discount of 5% instead of paying additional fee of Php 3 for my e-load. But that's not all, with coins.ph, you can also pay your bills like Meralco, PLDT, Credit Card, Insurance and even SSS Contribution.

Since we're living in a subdivision and having a business is not allowed inside, I thought of selling e-loads to our neighbors. It's a win-win situation because they will not need to go outside our village just to reload their phones and in return I will earn from them. If I need to reload Php 100 pesos, I used to pay Php 103 to the sari-sari store. But now that I have my Coins.Ph account, loading Php 100 to my phone means spending only Php 95. That's already Php 8 savings! I know 5% is such a small amount but that's a lot better than having to pay additional fee for your e-load right?

Get Free Cellphone Loads for your Mobile Phone using Google Play Store!

And so here I am browsing Facebook groups and checking where to post my ads. After I found out that mCent is legit, I clicked on the link that I saw on the group. It showed mCent page and it is actually an application that you can download from Google Play Store.

I immediately searched for it in Play Store and installed it on my phone. I created an account and just followed the instructions. When I logged-in to my account, I saw the applications/offers that I can install and try. It also displayed the corresponding amount that will be credited to my account after I accomplished what needs to be done.

The first app that I downloaded was named "Anne Galing". Chillin' in Sigayan Bay Beach Resort

Summer time has always been my favorite not just because of the outings but most especially because I see it as an opportunity to spend quality time with the family. This 2013, we decided to try Sigayan Bay beach resort in Laiya San Juan, Batangas. We're 22 pax all in all including kiddos. Here are some of the pictures:

Tambuli 2 - P8,000 (14pax)

I was supposed to book Sungayan room since it's for 18pax but unfortunately it's not available on my preferred date so I just opted to book Tambuli 2 instead. Turned-out a blessing in disguise since the location of Tambuli 2 is away from the shore, meaning less noise and it's near the parking lot so less hassle during loading of our things to our vehicles.

Picnic Table - P1,200 (day tour)

Check-in is strictly 3:00PM of May 12 but we arrived there before 8:00AM so we reserved a picnic table where we can stay while waiting for the check-in time in Tambuli 2. 

The resort itself is surprisingly small, right beside our picnic table there's another resort named Punto Miguel. But despite having small area, I appreciate Sigayan's well-kept and fragrant room accommodation. Also, their staffs are very approachable and provided fast assistance to the requests of their guests.

The sand is not white at all but the grains are fine. The water is not clear but it's okay with me because I know for a fact that it's not a high-end resort naman. You always get what you paid for, right? Lol. Though, the water isn't clear, bumawi naman sa sea bed. May konting bato but mostly sands ang maapakan mo so your feet won't get hurt. The downside is that, minsan mababaw then there are spots na medyo malalim, then pag lumayo kang konti, mababaw ulit. 

What I enjoyed most was when we went snorkeling. It's my first time and I'm just starting to learn how to swim so it's kinda scary for me. But that doesn't stop me to try it out. And true enough, hindi ako nagsisi. Super enjoy!

 

 

As a whole, we enjoyed our overnight stay in the resort. We just need to check-out early on May 13 so we can still find time to vote! Hehe. If you'll ask us if we will consider going back to Sigayan Bay? the answer is DEFINITELY YES!! :)

BPI Easy Saver - Savings Account without Maintaining Balance

Finally! I was able to apply for BPI Easy Saver savings account. I got mine in Tutuban Center, they have a booth near Otto and Baliwag. I was convinced to get one since it has no maintaining balance and also served as a savings account. Meaning your money can earn an interest with just a low initial deposit. 

Requirements:

• One (1) valid ID
• PhP 200 initial deposit
• PhP 50 Express Teller Card fee
• Completely filled-out application form
• 1" x 1" ID picture

Pros:

• Low initial deposit
• No maintaining balance
• Few documentary requirements, just a valid ID and ID picture
• Served as a savings account and can also be registered in BPI Express Online, Mobile Banking and Telephone Banking
• You can get your ATM card same day that you applied for it
• Convenient, you can withdraw from any BPI ATM

Cons:

• Withdrawal  fee of PhP 5 when you withraw money from any BPI ATM + additional charge when you withdraw from other bank's ATM
• Withdrawal fee of PhP 100 when you withdraw money over-the-counter

Of Music and Loneliness

Whenever I'm alone and listening to music, I can't help but be sentimental. To the point that I can easily relate my own experiences to each and every song being played. I remember a time during my college days, I'm in my room, listening over the radio where the DJ was giving love advices and playing a song specifically intended for the caller or the letter sender. The song that he played was Somewhere Down the Road (yeah, corny na!), I was so touched by the song that it made me reminisce on my personal experiences about love. I got so carried away that it even brought me to tears. Super emote lang. Heehee. I didn't realize that my sister is already in my room and when she saw me crying, she worriedly asked me what's wrong. Of course, I didn't admit that it's because of the song, dyahe! I lied and just said that my tummy is aching. Hahahah!
